I love to wear black & white outfits to work. It’s an easy combination that looks always classy. I try to choose interesting cuts in high quality fabrics and complement my look with timeless accessories to make the difference. I’ve combined my favorite black jacket from #BCBGMaxazria with these high-waisted pants bought online from #COS. A timeless style and my absolute favorite at the moment. They are made from drapey crepe with a mid-weight textured quality. I especially love the wide-leg fit, it makes it simply elegant. I also bought it in navy and olive about two years ago… I tend to buy my favorite clothing pieces in many colors.
This outfit is perfect to combine with my black lace open toe Jimmy Choo pumps. For a formal business dress code, the best options for shoes are classic closed toe pumps or flat dressed shoes. Some companies will allow open toe shoes and sandals. But if you work in a law firm, in a bank, in finance or in politics open toes or strappy sandals are a no go. Although I must admit that this topic raised a lot of comments and questions when I wrote the dress code policy for the company I am working for. As it seemed to be too sensitive, I left it out. Personally I would not wear these shoes to an important meeting or when I need to give a presentation.
