Pencil skirts are an excellent basic workwear staple for every woman. If you have a curvy figure with a well-defined waist, you will look fantastic in pencil skirts. It will accentuate your curves and smooth out your thighs. Although pencil skirts look best on hourglass body type figure, there’s a type of pencil skirt for everyone. Make sure you choose a skirt that has the little detail that will balanced out your silhouette and create the illusion of an hourglass figure. So, if you’re a pear shape, opt for darker colors and combine your skirt with a statement shirt or jacket in a lighter color to draw to attention to your upper body. You can also draw the attention to your legs and feet with killer shoes.
I love the subtle floral details and the satin fabric of this skirt. It makes it a bit more interesting but it keeps it quite formal and professional. To create a formal business look, I've combined it with a black blazer and white silk top.
